…that’s what you call Good Service

I am not so sure if this is true or just a hoax. I received an email from mean mina yesterday and I was just surprised about the indecent behavior of these 2 cabin crews. I asked my cousin who works for Emirates Airlines and she has confirmed that it was true.

This is a letter which has come from Mr. Mons Romulo Tantoco, a Philippines star columnist with his complain.

MR. DAVE PACULAN
AIRPORT SERVICES MANAGER
EMIRATES

Dear Mr. Paculan,

I would like to inform you an incident involving your flight stewardess MS. LOURDES GABRIZ, 239326 and MICHELLE GABRIZ who created a scandal at the Toni & Guy Salon at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Ortigas today.

I was having my regular hair treatment when I started hearing Ms. Gabriz still seated  shouting at the receptionist who was apologizing regarding a haircutter  from the salon – Nelia Cruz who apparently had layered her bangs shorter than what she had instructed her to do. In spite of her loud voice I tried not to get distracted by her. Around 30 minutes had passed still she didn’t stop screaming and berating the salon and the haircutter saying she was at stewardess of Emirates.  Her mother and sister Michelle Gabriz tried to pacify her but the more her voice became louder saying paying is no problem but she is not happy with her hair and that she was a flight stewardess of Emirates and her new haircut will be hard to managed. A lady ( I later found out her name was Merle Victorino, Manager of Unilab)who was seated beside me then requested her to please keep quite because her complaining is bothering everyone in the salon.  Ms Gabriz suddenly vented her anger towards Ms. Victorino and told her that she should mind her own business. Ms. Victorino had patiently explained to her  since she had been complaining for quite sometime for sure the management is already aware of her concerns and that she had said her piece so what more can the salon do? Ms. G abriz started screaming even louder so management decided to lead Ms. Victorino to a private room were she could continue to have her hair done in peace. I thought  Ms. Gabriz would stop but she continued threatening the poor receptionist that she will sue them and said she will now call her lawyers – Atty. Arroyo and Atty. Coronel from Tektite.

She went further and started calling the other client names saying she should get her flat nose fixed. Even if  didn’t know the other client  I felt Ms. Gabriz was too much so I adviced her to settle her complaints quitely with the management. She then shouted and said  referring to me and saying ” Sino yang patay gutom na babaeng yan?” I looked at her and told her to be careful with her words, her sister Michelle Gabriz ( 379997)suddenly stood up and started pointing her finger to me saying I should shut up. I told Michelle she had no right to point her fingers towards anyone. Her mom had advice her daughters to be quite but when she could not control them both she went to me showing her daughters Emirates ID cards and saying her daughters were flight attendants of Emirates . I just followed the staff’s signal to just ignore them. Meanwhile Lourdes Gabriz continued shouting invectives at the staff and that they were all whores .  This made their mother stand up and requested her daughter – Lourdes to keep quite. Maybe this embarrassed Lourdes so she stood up and went towards the room were  Ms. Victorino was. I was afraid she might do the other client harm so  I advise my hair stylist Paul to call the hotel security to avoid any untoward incident. The mother managed to drag her daughter Lourdes out of the salon but you could still hear her screaming in the corridors of the hotel shouting ” you’re all whores, mga puta kayo hindi ko kayo babayaran”.  Meanwhile her sister Michelle stayed and continued with her haircut  but continued staring at me in a negative way every time I would look through the mirror.

I would like to kindly request your office to call the attention of the Gabriz sisters.  Their actions and name dropping of the airline will not be good for your company. I hope you could request them to write a letter of apology most specially to Ms. Nelia Cruz the salons hairdresser. I don’t think Nelia or anyone for that matter deserves to be called whores. I  don’t
think I too deserve to be called “patay gutom” and I don’t think they have the right advice Ms. Victorino to have her nose fixed. I am afraid Gabriz sisters most specially Lourdes might suddenly loose her cool with their passengers while in the airplane and these would not only embarrass Emirates but us Filipinos. I would advise they both go through psychotherapy test and treatment to avoid any untoward incident while they are on board the plane.

Thank you for your time in reading my letter.

Sincerely,

Mons Romulo Tantoco

If this is true…..what a bitch? How can someone be so conceited about where she works for???? or how much does she earn. Emirates Airlines is not heaven dear.

But as I always say….there is always another side of the story. We can easily say something against somebody. Poor girls if this is not true. But let us hear it out from the persons who are in the actual scene. Maybe they can tell us better.

It has been observed that there are a lot of reports about some attitude problems on some of the Emirates Airline cabin crews. Attitude which are intolerable. Believe me, there are more cases too look after….cases worst than this. I myself have experienced it.

I hope justice prevails and those who are involved will be penalized.

I wanted to post their snaps….but forget it, they will just increase my file storage and if it’s not true it is going to be a shame on them. So let’s spare them some privacy.

wooosssh…

Go back to work

I also work for Emirates Airlines and has received this malicious e-mail. How can your cousin confirm that this really did happen? was he or she there at the Toni and Guy salon? or through Chinese whispers?

Just wanted to say that the incident did happen… however not all that was written by Ms. (not Mr.) Tantoco was true. In fairness to the Gabriz sisters, why did Ms Tantoco not include the harsh words she said to the Gabriz’s? that cabin crews are only OFW’s na alipin sa eroplano… etc etc… why did she not mention that the gay beautician that was cutting Ms Michelle Gabriz’ hair was commenting on Ms Tantoco: “Ang hirap talaga sa mga PIlipino, ANG HILIG MAKISAWSAW!”… There were a lot of scenarios in that salon incident that was deleted to cover the writers faulty actions as well. Ms Michelle was on lay over (dxbmnl/mnldxb) that day and she is fully aware that what ever she does, whether it be at the salon or anywhere else, she is still somewhat on duty, and therefore still carrying the company name. I believe she will not do anything scandalous to drag Emirates name and her family as well into something like this. What was written on the complaint was exaggerated and fabricated. I am not saying it is not true, but it has been edited. What will your reaction be if you paid a good amount of money to a salon and have you hair “murdered”, and you complain and there was no manager or supervisor to pacify you and try come into an agreement, and when you have actually calmed down another customer who you don’t know will just meddle with the situation??? I believe Ms Lourdes has the right to complain. She was there as a paying guest too.

Talk about crab mentality… true some Filipinos may be mayabang, but not all Filipino Emirates cabin crew. And to whoever started spreading this e-mail, tsk tsk tsk… shame, shame, shame.

It was a good idea not to put their photos… let’s spare this people… anyway, nobody really knows what happened in that salon except those who were physically there.

That is a good point. And I have to admit that I was one of the people who believed in the malicious email. I apologize for that.

My cousin told me that it was true…though you were right. I should have asked her about what happened exactly since she only told me part of it coz she was heading to a flight in Nairobi when I had a word with her.

Now I am making this blog to serve as a “box of truth” and hear out the other side of the story….I hope we can get Michelle and Lourdez’s side in order for this matter to be clarified.

Thank you so much for giving us the missing patch. It is sad that someone filled it up in a wrong way and the news has spread like a bullet train.

    Let the truth be told.

    cheers

I couldnt agree more. I too received this email as well as my other friends from the inflight department. Its a shame that we cabin crews are labeled as such, mayayabang, maarte, etc… Im sure what has happened has been blown out of proportion and was only sensationalized because the sisters were Emirates crew.
Why don’t they jsut stop writing about us, or any Filipino OFW’s negatively and for a change appreciate what this Filipino cabin crews has done and is been doing.
Everybody has the right to complain… but its not right to meddle in other people’s business. It may be true that the cabin crew made a scene at the parlor but I don’t believe she swore or cursed anyone. Takot lang niya, naka duty siya.
And Mr Paculan of Emirates, how on earth did this complain spread like wild fire in the whole Emirates network? Shouldn’t this be a confidential matter? I second the mention, shame shame shame…

good thing I saw this blog. well done.

I read the email and came accross this blog. Let this serve as a note to ourselves that we must never ever let our tempers rise when all thats needed is a calculating mind as to what people might think or say as a result of our actions or statements.

The email may or may not be true but it sure is plausible that some people tend to misinterpret other peoples reactions when they complain so when you complain complain graciously and cordially.

Remember breeding and character plays a major role in how society perceives each and everyone.

Just a comment on my end.

received this same email last night.
I was just wondering, how on earth did we all end up with mugshots of the sisters in our email inbox? San galing yun? not like they posed for it :)
Good thing you did not post the pictures.
True or not, let it be a lesson to all.
    R-E-S-P-E-C-T is the bottomline.

Not everything bad that is ever written about anyone is true, correct, accurate, unembellished, unedited, unaltered, unadulterated (you get the point, hehhe). It all boils down to the intent of the writer. The letter seems cordial and straight to the point enough. She could have left out some juicy details, or not… But on some articles on the web, this was not supposed to be a PUBLIC letter. It was a CONFIDENTIAL one, addressed to a particular person at the Emirates. It leaked from whose inbox?

    bwahahahaha!!!!

I’m sorry for laughing out loud, kanda ikot ikot ako dito sa sahig katatawa. I’m not laughing at the victims, I’m laughing at these two bit** wh*res. OMFG! This has got to be the lowest of lows for any Noypi!

Sayang at wala tayong equivalent ng Snopes sa Pinas to verify this. Second, the woman in question may have a mental or emotional problem, like anger management, or some other psychosis. Add to that the stress and problems that go with being an FA sa airlines na yan.

I have a friend who, when she was younger, ay nag-FA din sa Emirates. She had tons of money for a young single girl, was based in Italy and drove around in a flashy, red Ferrari at age 26. But she told me in private how very hard it was to work in this company. Smelly, oily, manyakis arab guys would grab her behind and laugh. On every flight. The FA’s cannot complain of sexual harassment, magagalit pa daw ang management sa kanila for not taking it lightly and for not being “culturally sensitive” to the arabo needs. eeek. This is why these FA’s always travel around in packs, they must never be alone, dahil kapag na-rape sila, di rin pwede mag-complain. Things could have changed in that company now, but looking at their culture, where women are property, most likely laganap pa rin.

Am not taking this abusive woman’s side, just suggesting na masama lang talaga ang combinasyon ng anger management problem at iba’t ibang psyshosis niya, with the stress and hazards of her work.

She was having a meltdown, napaka uncontrollable, at hindi siguro kelangan ng security guard, kelangan niya ng psychiatrist. Or maybe a shot of tranquilizers. Normal people would have calmed down after around 5 to 10 minutes. But for her to keep it up for 30 minutes? Wow, meyn, iba na yan.
