Bahamas Miss Universe

A back to back win for Miss Venezuela as Dayana Mendoza crowns her fellow Venezuelanian Stefania Fernandez. Dominican Republic, Ada Aimee (the top delegate in my prediction list) finishes 1st runner up.

Here is the detailed placing

4th Runner-up: Puerto Rico, Mayra Matos

3rd Runner-up: Australia, Rachael Finch

2nd Runner-up: Kosovo, Marigona Dragusha

1st Runner-up: Dominican Republic, Ada Aimee dela Cruz

MISS UNIVERSE 2009: VENEZUELA, Stefania Fernandez

First in the Miss Universe history. Venezuela wins back to back. I am sure…..a lot…I mean a lot will be bashing about this result….what can you do?  She definitely nailed that Question and answer…I never expected that she would be so intelligent.

Almost there: Miss Universe Delegates prepared for the Pre-taped opening number

It was a scorching 48 degree sunrise that welcomed all 84 delegates in their Bikinis and put on their best smiles to pre-tape what is going to be the telecast opener.  A helicopter circled all over the resort, to get video footage of the delegates showing the beauties of the Bahamian beaches.

Dayana Mendoza, the reigning Miss Universe was also the star of this segment along with the rest of the delegates. She welcomes the audience to see the show from the famous Bridge Suite, currenly one of the most expensive suites in the world drawing to a wowing US $25,000.00 a night!

Miss Universe 2009 has officially started

The delegates has started arriving in Grand Bahama International aiport. The true glory has just started and we can now see majority of the stand outs. I would like all of you to see the candid pics of the ladies who are taking this pageant seriously……the early birds I call them.

 

 

It is so refreshing to see a bunch of beauties who brought together by the wonderful islands of the Bahamas.

Miss Japan Universe 2009’s lustrous outfit

Miss Universe Japan Emiri Miyasaka will be wearing a modern, fashionable adaptation of the traditional Japanese Kimono during the costume competition portion of the pageant. According to Ines Ligron, her director, it took 7 designers to execute the costume. It was directed by Yoshiyuki Ogata, the designer of the red samurai costume which won best national costume with Kurara Chibana in 2006.

Loveeeeee it….it’s so poossssshhh!!!

Miss Universe 2009 performers

The “Hills” blonde, who doubles as an aspiring pop star, will perform during the 2009 Miss Universe Pageant telecast next month, Access Hollywood can exclusively reveal.

Heidi treated fans to snippets of her singing while in the Costa Rican jungle earlier this summer on “I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!” and viewers of the Miss Universe Pageant will get to check out what Heidi sounds like on the big stage on August 23.

Heidi will perform the song “Turn Ya Head” off her debut album, “Unleashed,” which came out in July.

Other stars who are set to take the stage at the pageant, which will be co-hosted by Access‘ own Billy Bush and “Celebrity Apprentice” star Claudia Jordan, include Flo Rida, Kelly Rowland and dance kingpin David Guetta.

Flo Rida will perform “Right Round” and “Jump” as a two-song medley during the pageant’s swimsuit competition.

Kelly and David will perform the song, “When Love Takes Over” together during the evening gown portion of competition.

The Miss Universe 2009 Pageant airs August 23 at 9 PM on NBC.

Just crossing my fingers and if any case this is true…….you know who books his ticket first 😉 Spicey Galsss….calibrate your engines, this is one hell of an event.

Miss Universe 2009, the 58th Miss Universe beauty pageant will be held in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, possibly on Summer, 2009. An official announcement is expected anytime by the Miss Universe Organization. Miss Universe 2008, Dayana Mendoza of Venezuela, will crown her successor at the end of this event. About 80 countries and territories are expected to compete and the pageant will broadcast live on NBC and Telemundo.

Last July, investor Jonathan Westbrook tried to get Australia to host Miss Universe 2009 but his efforts were in vain as the possible venues were not interested. Donald Trump had intentions on holding the 2009 pageant in Dubai, though chances are very high, it remains questionable due to the political instability regarding relations between the United Arab Emirates and Israel.
